Agbonlahor accuses Tottenham trio of being selfish against Leeds

Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale were playing for themselves during Tottenham’s 3-1 loss against Leeds. Ryan Mason stated after the game that he was pleased with the effort his players put in despite the result but Agbonlahor admitted that he saw things differently. The former Aston Villa striker told Football Insider: “That’s the problem with Ryan Mason and why he will definitely not get the job. “If a player like Bale is not tracking back with his runners, a Pep Guardiola or a Jurgen Klopp wouldn’t stand for it and they’d tell him about it. Ryan Mason wouldn’t have said a word. That’s the problem. “They’re not going to call him gaffer. I understand it but going forward you cannot have a club where the manager is not being called gaffer.” Agbonlahor also claimed that Tottenham’s front three could have done more to help their defence out on Saturday. He added: “It looked like a team that players are trying to score for themselves. Bale, Kane and Son were trying to play only for themselves. The defenders looked like they didn’t want to defend. They’re in a really bad way are Spurs.”
