Aaron Ramsey clashed with Unai Emery before deciding to leave Arsenal

Aaron Ramsey has reportedly agreed a deal with Serie A champions Juventus on a free transfer. The deal will make him the second highest paid player in Turin behind only Cristiano Ronaldo. According to some rumors, Unai Emery has clashed with Ramsey before he agreed a deal with Serie A giants and the main reason was the Welshman’s  role in the team. The former PSG star realised that Ramsey did not fit his style of play or formation, with the midfielder making it clear that he wanted to play as a roaming number eight, running onto the ball high up the pitch. But Emery does not use a number eight, with Ramsey restricted to play a deeper, more disciplined role without the license to roam – or as a No.10, which he is not suited to. Nevertheless, Emery still trusts in Ramsey to provide cover and competition until the end of the season, saying: ‘I say to him every day that we need his performance for us. ‘And I was very happy with him in the last match. He asked in Blackpool to play, he said: “Coach, I want to play”. ‘His future is for him, his family and his agent. But every day in training he is working very well. I want his focus to be on us, and to be on West Ham on Saturday. I respect his decision a lot.’
