9 Chelsea players who could be sold this summer as Thomas Tuchel rebuilds the squad

Chelsea are arguably one of the best teams in Europe right now. Having spent more than £200m this summer on transfers, things didn't come as easy for the Blues as it seemed. Frank Lampard had been sacked after 18 month in charge at the Stamford Bridge and was then replaced by Thomas Tuchel. Under the German coach the west Londoners have been unbeaten until their recent West Brom clash in the Premier League, where they surprisingly suffered a 5-2 loss. Chelsea's upcoming match is on Wednesday as they are getting ready to face Porto in the Champions League quarter-finals. As the summer transfer window is nearing here are 9 players whom Tuchel could sell as he's looking to rebuilding his squad.

Tammy Abraham

The 23-year-old has been sidelined through injuries and is currently out due to ankle injury. The striker has played 30 games for Chelsea this season, having scored 12 times and and providing 6 assists. With Timo Werner, Olivier Giroud and Kai Havertz in the squad for the striker position, Abraham could be offloaded this season. The club owner Roman Abramovich is also looking to signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, as reports claim.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Arrizabalaga's transfer is the most expensive one for the goalkeeper, at €80m, however his poor stats under Lampard forced them to sign a new keeper and now he can be sold this summer. This season the Spaniard made 9 appearances for the west Londoners, conceded 8 goals and kept 4 clean sheets.

Emerson Palmieri

Having made just 13 appearances this season, the left-back could also be on his way out from the Stamford Bridge this summer.

Antonio Rudiger

The centre-back has been an integral part of Tuchel's plans since Lampard's sacking and has largely performed well. This season the 28-year-old played 21 games for Chelsea and most of them came under the German coach. However, whether he will stay a regular member of the starting XI remains to be seen, with Chelsea almost certain to sign a new centre-back this summer.

Fikayo Tomori

Milan are keen on signing the centre-back permanently and they have an option to do so, providing they are prepared to pay £25m. A final decision is yet to be made, but Milan sporting director Paolo Maldini is a big fan, and Tomori's exit looks virtually a given.

Jorginho

Napoli would be the ideal choice, and while Tuchel isn't desperate to sell, a big enough bid would convince him and the club to part company with a player who is not untouchable and one they would need to consider offloading next year anyway.

Ross Barkley / Ruben Loftus-Cheek / Michy Batshuayi

Batshuayi's contract expires next year so moving him on is a matter of urgency, and Chelsea could recoup a decent amount from the sale of all three while slashing their wage bill.
