5 contenders for the PFA Young Player of the Year Award

The Premier League are currently suspended, however, no one has cancelled award ceremonies. We're just a month away from the PFA Awards Ceremony. Who will win the PFA Player of the Year or PFA Young Player of the Year? Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk and Kevin De Bruyne are the favourites to win the player of the year award. Here we will provide the five contenders, who can win the PFA Young Player of the Year, given to the best player of the season under the age of 23. Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Wayne Rooney have won the award. Tottenham star Dele Alli won the award two times in a row. Leroy Sane was the winner in the 2017/18 season, while his teammate Raheem Sterling won the award last year. Who will win the trophy this season? Trent Alexander-Arnold Liverpool are on the verge of winning the Premier League trophy this year and there is no surprise to see Alexander-Arnold in the list of contenders as the youngster is a key part of Jurgen Klopp's squad. This season so far, Trent has made 29 appearances for the club and he has scored 2 goals. Despite the fact, that the 21-year-old is a left-back, he has even created 12 assists. Dean Henderson Sheffield United have surprised this season as they are currently seventh in the Premier League. In 28 games, the club have only conceded 25 goals thanks to their goalkeeper Henderson. However, the player is currently on loan at Sheffield from Manchester United and it's a piece of great news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. For Sheffield United, Henderson has made 27 appearances and has kept 10 clean sheets. Tammy Abraham Chelsea transfer ban played a great role in the career of Tammy Abraham. The Blues striker joined the club in the summer. Despite the fact, that he hasn’t scored a goal since January 11th, the youngster scored 7 goals in 3 consecutive games. Abraham, 22, is currently recovering from an ankle injury. The player has managed to make 25 appearances for the Blues, has scored 13 goals and has created four assists. Marcus Rashford Before his crucial back injury, Rashford enjoyed an impressive season. At the start of the season, Rashford struggled in the position of centre-forward. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has moved him into a role as a left-sided wide forward and it was a great decision. The 22-year-old has made 22 Premier League appearances so far, has scored 14 goals and has created four assists. Aaron Wan-Bissaka Manchester United enjoyed a fine run in recent months and that's also thanks to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who joined the club in the summer. The 22-year-old averages 3.8 successful tackles, 2 successful interceptions and 0.5 successful blocks per game and it's quite impressive, given the fact, that no other player has managed to do so in Solskjaer's squad. Wan-Bissaka has made 26 Premier League appearances this season so far and has created two assists. What do you think? Who should win the Award? Vote Below.
