Liverpool star Roberto Firmino suffered ankle injury during the recent EPL match against Manchester United.
Brazilian international got injured in the first half and substituted by Daniel Sturridge.
Jurgen Klopp said during the press-conference (via Mirror): "It is his ankle. First he said he could carry on, then that he couldn’t. I don’t know exactly the extent of the problem. Hopefully it's nothing serious."
Merseyside club will face Watford on Wednesday at Anfield. Currently, Liverpool are going first in league table, but the advantage over Manchester City is only 1 point.
So how will Reds lineup without Firmino?
#1: 4-2-3-1 with Keita and Shaqiri
#2: 4-3-3 with Shaqiri in Salah’s place, and Salah as a striker
This could be another alternative, as Jurgen Klopp can keep the 4-3-3 formation, and play Mo Salah as a striker, while Xherdan Shaqiri could play from right.
The main reason from 4-3-3 with Firmino would be that Salah will not play as a false 9, like Brazilian does.
#3: 4-3-3 with Daniel Sturridge
This is another way of 4-3-3. Daniel Sturrdige has played in several matches like false 9. Salah could play from right, however, Sturridge was not convincing with his performances, so this type of variation is less possible than above mentioned ones.
