Griezmann wants USA move
Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has said he hopes to end his career in the USA, and possibly at David Beckham's Miami franchise. He told France Football: "The United States is where I want to finish. I love the States. I want to have a subscription to NBA and go with my children to every game. I can already see myself there. "I do not yet know the city but why not play for Beckham’s franchise in Miami? Playing under Beckham would be the best."
Ronaldo to claim FIFA Player of the Year award
Real Madrid and Portugal national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo will be awarded the FIFA Player of the Year award, El Mundo Deportivo reports. The source claims, that the Portuguese star will surpass Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann to get this prestigious prize, as it happened with the Golden Ball. The official ceremony will take place in Zurich on January 9, where Cristiano will most probably receive his second FIFA Player of the Year award. He won this prize in 2008, too. To recall, FIFA and France Football decided to separate their ways and handle their own prizes starting from this year. The two organisations merged their awards in 2010 but this bromance didn't last too long.
CAS reduce Real Madrid transfer sanction
Real Madrid will be allowed to register new players starting from the coming summer. CAS has partially satisfied the club's appeal, Real Madrid informs. "The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has today informed Real Madrid C. F. of their decision by which they have partially upheld the appeal lodged by the club against the FIFA resolution which imposed a sanction forbidding the signing of players for two transfer windows, reducing said sanction to just one period, corresponding to the January 2017 transfer window. The decision highlights the injustice of the original ban imposed by FIFA, although the club regrets that the CAS lacked the courage to revoke the ruling entirely".
Real Madrid eye Brazilian starlet
Real Madrid are mulling over a move for Brazilian teenager Augusto Cesar Verissimo Galvan, reports Marca. Galvan, who is on the books at Sao Paulo, has been tracked by Real Madrid over the past few months. The 17-year-old is out of contract on December 31 and does not want to renew his deal at his current club – a situation Real are keen to take advantage of. The playmaker would feature for Real Madrid’s Castilla side and their U19s if he makes the move.
Puyol is quietly confident of Messi penning a new deal
Barcelona legend Carles Puyol is quietly confident of Lionel Messi penning a new deal. "We must be calm," said the 38-year-old ex-Barcelona defender. "I always said, I hope he will stay at the club until retirement, but it's a very personal decision. "I think the reason he is here is that it is better than anywhere else," he added.

Zidane equals Mourinho’s numbers just in 11 months
Zinedine Zidane has won the third title as Real Madrid manager. Real Madrid defeated Kashima Antlers in FIFA Clubs' World Cup final and added one more title to their tally in 2016. Interestingly, it took only 11 months from Zidane to equal the numbers that Jose Mourinho recorded in Real Madrid. Zidane replaced Rafael Benitez in January, 2016. Zidane's achievement is becoming more significant after considering that Mourinho won three different tournaments in three years (Copa del Rey, La Liga and Spain Super Cup). Moreover, if Zidane wins one more tournament with Real Madrid, he will repeat Carlo Ancelotti's success, who managed to win Copa del Rey, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Clubs' World Cup. It's worth to mention that Zidane was criticised from the very first day of working with Real Madrid due to his lack of experience to coach such a big club. Nevertheless, Zidane has managed to record positive numbers with the team. He won La Undecima, his team kept on fighting until the last week in La Liga last season, which helped Zizou to prove that the critics were wrong. Furthermore, victories in UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Clubs' World Cup strengthened his positions even more.

"There's nothing wrong with a coach going out with the players," he told ABC. Accrding to Diario Gol, Ancelotti would often go out on the town in Madrid with his players and that was the prime reason Real president Florentino Perez sacked him.

James speaks out about Real exit; Ramos criticizes the Colombian
Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez spoke out about his future after FIFA Clubs' World Cup final against Kashima Antlers. The Colombian said that he might be leaving the club soon. "I'm happy here, but I want to play more. I want to stay at Madrid forever. But we have to think about everything and look at the options. I have offers and I've got seven days to think about it." Madrid captain Sergio Ramos didn't like this comments as he thinks it's not the right time to speak about it. "I have a high regard towards James and I want him to stay, but today wasn't the right day to focus on those kind of matters," the Spaniard said.
