James will not leave Real Madrid

James Rodriguez will not leave Real Madrid in January, according to his agent Jorge Mendes. James, who has been a bit-part player under Zinedine Zidane, revealed after Real Madrid’s recent Club World Cup triumph that he is considering offers from elsewhere, but he is not going to leave the Bernabeu next month. Speaking to AS, his representative Mendes said: “James will not leave in January.” However, if his situation does not improve in the second half of the season, the Colombia captain could look for a way out in June. Manchester United, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich are among the clubs interested in him. Real Madrid would look to recoup the €80m they forked out to sign James from Monaco in 2014.

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial may be moving to Spanish La Liga despite early reports suggesting West Ham making an offer for the Frenchman. The 20-year-old player has grabbed Sevilla's attention which will be looking to loan the player in January. Barcelona to sign Valencia defender

Barcelona will sign Valencia full-back Joao Cancelo next summer, reports Sport. The La Liga champions have been linked with Cancelo over the past few months and it appears as though they will finally land the Portuguese in June. Sport reports that Barca have negotiated with the player and have the deal all but tied up, although nothing will be made public until the end of the season. The terms of the deal were agreed a few weeks ago, with Cancelo set to put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Camp Nou at the end of the season. Barca must now negotiate the final price of the player with Valencia, who are looking for a fee of around €30m. Cancelo had offers from elsewhere to move in January – Bayern Munich and Chelsea were interested in him – but he has his heart set on moving to Barca next summer and told Valencia to ignore any offers for him in the January transfer window.

Juventus’ managing director Beppe Marotta has discussed the club’s interest in unsettled Real Madrid star James Rodriguez. James, the Colombia international, recently admitted that he is considering his future having received offers from elsewhere. Juve have consistently been linked with the playmaker and their managing director Marotta was coy when asked about whether the Serie A champions will move for him. Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he said: “James? It depends on how our market is. We are going to respect the financial balance, but you know that Juventus wants to place itself among the best clubs in the world. It will always be our ambitious objective.” According to Spanish newspaper AS, Juve are not expected to make a move for James in the January transfer window, while Real Madrid will not contemplate selling him for less than €60m next month
