Spalletti isn’t surprised by Premier League interest for Manolas

Roma manager Luciano Spalletti isn't surprised by Premier League interest for Kostas Manolas. Despite the fact that the transfer window is already closed, there's suggestions that the 25-year-old fullback already has agreed terms over a summer move to Arsenal. Asked about the Greece international defender, the 57-year-old specialist told TMW: "Kostas is a very good player, everyone is aware of this at the club. "This is why I find it normal that he arouses the interest of big clubs. "He never asked to leave, but if ever a real offer was coming it would be normal to have doubts. But for the moment this is not the case, so it is useless to talk about it."

Brilliant quotes from the football world

Players get famous not only due to their amazing performances but also for their memorable and unique quotes. Here are the best ones! "You’re on your own out there … With ten mates… Whichever team scores more goals usually wins.” Michael Owen   “People who know me, love me. People who don’t know me love me too… or they hate me.” Mario Balotelli   “My mother thinks I am the best. And I was raised to always believe what my mother tells me.” Diego Maradona   “An injured Zlatan is a pretty serious thing for any team.” Zlatan Ibrahimovic   “I definitely want my son to be christened, but I don’t know into what religion yet.” David Beckham   "Predictions just at the end of the match." João Vieira Pinto   "First I went left, he did too. Then I went right, and he did too. Then I went left again, and he went to buy a hot dog.” Zlatan Ibrahimovic   “We lost because we didn't win.” Ronaldo   "Messi may have 4 golden balls but I don't have to get on a box to buy a chocolate bar in a vending machine." Zlatan Ibrahimovic   “Messi scores a goal and celebrates. Cristiano scores a goal and poses like he’s in a shampoo commercial.” Diego Maradona   “Look, I’m a coach. I’m not Harry Potter. He is magical, but in reality there is no magic. Magic is fiction and football is real.” Jose Mourinho    “Finally my shirt brought Paul Pogba back to Man United.” Zlatan Ibrahimovic   “I would not be bothered if we lost every game as long as we won the league.” Mark Viduka   “This season I picked up 14 yellow cards, but I earned only 8 of them. The remaining 7 are because of the referees.” Paul Pogba   “I don’t blame Beckham, but we’ve lost because of him.” Ian Wright   Rafael van der Vaart blamed Zlatan on intentionally getting an injury. “I didn’t injure you on purpose, and you know that. If you accuse me again I’ll break both your legs, and that time it will be on purpose.” Zlatan Ibrahimovic     "I'm a bit proud of my first red card as a coach. I approached the fourth official and said: 'How many mistakes are allowed here? If it's 15, you have one more." Jurgen Klopp    "I'd like to play for an Italian club, like Barcelona." Mark Draper
