Dortmund target Zelalem
Borussia Dortmund are apparently in talks to sign Gedion Zelalem from Arsenal. The 19-year-old, who was born in Germany, spent last season on loan at Rangers. The Guardian say Dortmund are hopeful that they can tempt him back to Germany, although negotiations are not said to be advanced and a deal might wait until the summer.

FIFA have distributed several awards to the best persons in world football in 2016. The footballing body have published the final results of the voting with exact numbers of votes received for each nominee. Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned as the best player in the world, surpassing Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann. He has received 34.54% of total votes, while his main rival Lionel Messi finished the second with 26.42% share of votes. Claudio Ranieri was the top man in coaches' race, as the Leicester manager won the prize for the best coach of the year with 22.06% of total votes. Zinedine Zidane surpassed Fernando Santos with a slight advantage to come after Ranieri. The most evident choice was made in the Puskas Award winner selection. Pulisic happy at Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic insisted he is happy at the club despite rumoured interest from Liverpool. The 18-year-old midfielder was addressing questions on US Soccer's Facebook page, and said he would never rule out a move to the Premier League. "I think with soccer, you never really know what's going to happen in your career — that's the beauty of it," Pulisic said. "But right now, I'm with Dortmund and very happy. I'm earning my spot and working hard for that team."

Julian Weigl ends speculation over his future
Julian Weigl has ended speculation over his future by penning a new deal with Borussia Dortmund. The 21-year-old midfielder was on Manchester City and Real Madrid radars. Nonetheless, Weigl penned terms to 2021 yesterday and said: "I feel well take care of in Dortmund on and off the field. "It was a logical decision for me and it did not require lengthy consideration to extend the contract."
Arsenal target BVB star to replace Sanchez or Ozil
Marco Reus has been identified as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil should Arsenal fail to extend the contracts of their two star players, the Daily Telegraph reports. The 27-year-old, under contract at Borussia Dortmund forward until 2019, is a player of long-standing, and continued, interest from the north London club. Despite this, Arsenal’s priority is still to persuade both Sanchez and Ozil to remain at the Emirates beyond the expiry of their current deals in 2018.
Aubameyang confirms Real Madrid promise
Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has once again revealed he promised his grandfather that he would play for Real Madrid. Aubameyang starred at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night, scoring one goal and setting up another for Marco Reus as Dortmund came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against European champions. Los Blancos are reportedly tracking Aubameyang, while the Gabon forward has never hidden his desire to turn out for them in the future. When asked about playing for Real, he told beIN Sports: “Yes, it’s a promise that I made to my grandfather, but right now I feel very good at Dortmund. In the future we’ll see. We can tell [Real president] Florentino [Perez] already.”
