Bayern won’t sell Badstuber

Bayern Munich head coach Carlo Ancelotti says Holger Badstuber will only leave on loan this month. The defender has been linked with Manchester City and Swansea as well as Bundesliga side Schalke. But, speaking from Bayern's winter training camp in Doha, Ancelotti said any move away from Munich would not be permanent. "I said if he decided to leave because he wanted to play we can deal with it for six months," said the Italian. "We can speak about this with him. There is no chance he will be sold. "The idea of the club is to renew the contract. If he wants to go to play it will be to go on loan."

Brandn happy at Bayern

Julian Brandt says he's happy at Bayer Leverkusen. The 20-year-old midfielder has been on Liverpool and Manchester City radar. Nonetheless, Brandt says he's happy at the club and even Bayern Munich couldn't tempt him away. "I would not be afraid to reject Bayern for the second time. The same goes for other clubs. I feel very well here and I know what I have here. We are constantly in good negotiations. "If it were up to me, the summer would be a good time to renew the contract," he admitted to BILD.

Manchester City eye Badstuber

Man City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted they could make a move for Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber. The Spaniard insists there are no names on the table yet but he will hold talks with City's director of football Txiki Begiristain in the coming days before deciding on their targets. He said: "We are evaluating if there's a chance to take one (defender). I know Holger, he's a fantastic player, a fantastic guy, but he's a Bayern Munich player, and we should first of all speak with them and with him. "Now, on the table, there are no names because we had a lot of games. But now we have 10 days until Everton, so we have time to discuss with Txiki, with the club, what is the best for the rest of the season."
