Bayern enter race for Celtic youngster
Bayern Munich are ready to rival Chelsea for the signing of forward Moussa Dembele. The Celtic star has scored 26 goals already this season and could command a £30m fee, reports the Mirror. He was heavily linked with Chelsea on Deadline Day and West Ham have also been tracking him. During the January transfer window, Dembele was even spotted in London which added some fuel to the fire, provoking whispers about his imminent Chelsea move spread around the world. However, it later came out that Dembele was in London for undergoing some medical examinations after he picked up a minor injury.
Arsene Wenger: “Bayern are a better team than Arsenal”
Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger has admitted that Bayern Munich are "a better team" than the Gunners after their thrashing in Wednesday's Champions League first leg at the Allianz Arena. "It is difficult to explain. I felt we had two good chances to score just before half time. I felt we were unlucky for the second goal, the referee gave a corner at first. Then we concede the second goal and then the most important thing was that we lost Laurent Koscielny. We collapsed," Wenger told reporters after the game. "I do not look for excuses. It is a shock of course to lose at that level. We made everything wrong, the fifth goal shows that. These kinds of games you need to be focused for 90 minutes. I felt the third goal was a killer for our players, after that we had no response. Overall I must say they are a better team than us, they played very well in the second half and we dropped our level. We were a bit unlucky that we dropped our level and they were better than us."

Arturo Vidal has been pushed about Chelsea transfer rumours
Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has been pushed about Chelsea transfer rumours. According to Daily Express, Chelsea have been linked with a £56million bid to bring Vidal to Stamford Bridge. The 29-year-old midfielder has previously worked with the London slub head coach Antonio Conte at Juventus. "They are only rumours that come about quickly," Vidal told Sport Bild. "Ultimately, I played four very successful years under coach Conte at Juventus. But there's no reason for me to leave Bayern. I wear this jersey with pride. I feel good, my wife feels good and the children are happy. And I still have big goals in Munich."
Man Utd Muller bid rejected
Manchester United failed with an £84m bid for Thomas Muller last summer, according to Bayern Munich's financial partner Jan-Christian Dreesen. "There really was such a thing,” he told Sport Bild. “Then came a fax from England. For us, however, a sale of Thomas Müller was never discussed. “If a player fits us, we would be stupid to give him a short-term prospect of a record profit and to weaken him.” It would appear United dodged a bullet with Muller though, with the Germany international struggling for form this season. The 27-year-old has just a single Bundesliga goal to his name for Bayern - he had 15 at the same stage last term.
Manuel Neuer: “There has been “no contact” with Guardiola”
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer says there has been "no contact" with Man City boss Pep Guardiola about a possible move to the Etihad. The pair worked together during Guardiola's three-year spell in charge of the Bavarians and the Germany international has reportedly been linked with a reunion with his former manager in recent weeks. However, speaking at this afternoon's press conference ahead of Wednesday's Champions League last-16 clash with Arsenal, Neuer said he is "happy" with life at the Allianz Arena. "No contact. Pep has my phone number and hasn't called. I'm happy here," said the 30-year-old.
Mkhitaryan thanks Klopp for coping with Man Utd move
Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has thanked Jurgen Klopp for the advice that helped him through a tough start to his Old Trafford career, reports BBC Sport. Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp counseled the 28-year-old Armenian international captain through a difficult time when they were at Borussia Dortmund in 2013. "I am thankful to Klopp. He worked on my personality and the psychological part," said Mkhitaryan. "At Dortmund, I was very stressed after a few games when we were playing really bad," added Mkhitaryan, who has scored five times this season. "Klopp showed me the way. He supported me and told me I had to keep my head up because good things were coming. He helped me to become a player." Note that Mkhitaryan spent two seasons working under the 49-year-old specialist in Germany.
Top 10 Player–Rivals in Football
Football mostly builds good relationships, but sometimes it also creates an even greater rivalry between the players: We have identified 10 of the hottest conflicts between the players. Diego Costa- Laurent Koscielny Rivals since 2015 Actually, many players in the APL cannot stand the Spaniard, but he has a special rivalry with Laurent. During games with Arsenal, Costa always incites him by blowing or slapping on the face. The Frenchman was mad about it and said, “Costa’s aim is not playing, but rather making defenders crazy”. Costa’s poor behavior cost Arsenal a few points. After that, Laurent got mad and decided to take revenge. He finally accepted Costa’s rules. Hence, Laurent began hitting the opponent with feet and ignored Costa’s anger. Germany legend suggests Ozil to join Bayern
Michael Ballack has suggested Mesut Ozil should join Bayern Munich to win trophies. Ozil has 18 months left on his contract with Arsenal and former Germany and Chelsea midfielder Ballack told Bild that 'a lot of clubs would love to have him'. "Mesut is an amazing player. He knows that he is one of the undisputed stars at Arsenal," he said. "If you are a top player in England, the cult around you is bigger than in Germany. You are treated more respectfully, especially. These are all reasons for an extension. "But if he wants to win a major title, he has a bigger chance to achieve that at Bayern."
Lahm announces retirement after this season
Bayern Munich and Germany national team captain Philipp Lahm has announced the intention to retire at the end of the season. The World Cup winner told his decision to the reporters after the DFB Pokal match against Wolfsburg. "I will end my career at the end of the current season," he said. "I've been thinking of it for more than the past year, that you have to keep challenging yourself and keep asking yourself 'how is it', every day, every week on the training pitch, what's the feeling you have. I have let club directors know about my decision. However, I will keep on with my leadership style, I will do my best every day and in every training, until the end of the season. I can do it this season, but not beyond". Lahm is a Bayern Munich academy graduate and since his senior debut in 2002, he managed to make 501 Bundesliga appearances for the team. Lahm won 7 Bundesliga titles and a Champions League cup. Lahm featured for Germany national team for 113 times and retired from the international football after winning the World Cup in Brazil.
