Barcelona striker Neymar was an object of transfer speculations all the summer long. El Mundo Deportivo informs, that the 24-year-old Brazilian was not only offered 5-year deals in Real Madrid and PSG, but a one-time transfer bonus, estimating 40 m euros. Moreover, Real Madrid were ready to pay 32 m euros annually after taxes, while PSG offered even more - 40 m euros. However, Neymar opted to remain at Barcelona where he earns 15 m euros a year. It's also revealed, that PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi promised to build a hotel in Brazil and name it in Neymar's honor, also making him a 30-percent shareholder of the new business. Manchester United, on the other hand, were ready to improve any offer of their opponents. Manchester City have even started negotiations with Neymar's father, but they didn't make an offer at the end.
Draxler to leave Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg playmaker Julian Draxler will be playing his football at one of Europe's leading clubs next season, according to his agent. The Germany international tried and failed to push through a move away from Wolfsburg this summer. Draxler’s agent, Fabio Parisi, has confirmed potential moves to Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain fell through and that the 24-year-old would look to move on next summer. “(Juventus boss) Max Allegri had spoken to Draxler, they were in sync and there was an immediate rapport between them,” Parisi told Tuttosport. “Wolfsburg have strong owners, but unfortunately for the German fans, everyone wants to leave there. “Over the summer Draxler was on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain, who had offered nearly €65m (£59m). “He will definitely leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season. He would’ve gladly run to join Juve and is the ideal trequartista for Allegri. “I repeat: Draxler will leave, but whether or not Juventus are interested again is another matter.”
David Luiz pushed hard for his Chelsea return
David Luiz was the one who pushed through his last-minute move to Chelsea on Deadline Day, according to his agent Kia Joorabchian. “It came around quite late in the day, it was a late deal, but it wasn’t that late,” he told Goal.com. “It was in the last few days of the window, but I think that before that it was very much on the cards. “The move was David’s doing because I don’t think that PSG wanted to sell David, but he wanted to come to Chelsea, for sure. When Chelsea made a move for him, it was the end of the story." “He is back at Stamford Bridge, but before that he expected to work at PSG until that connection happened.”
