Man Utd eye Sao Paulo defender

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Sao Paulo defender Lyanco, according to the Daily Mirror. It’s understood Sao Paulo would be willing to let the 20-year-old Brazil U20 international leave, but only if a fee in the region of £10m is tabled. European heavyweights Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also thought to be interested in Lyanco, who holds a Serbian passport. Note that the fullback has made 24 appearances during this season.

Toni Kroos will not join Man Utd

Toni Kroos will not be joining Manchester United from Real Madrid this summer. According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, the 27-year-old midfielder is not thinking about departing the Santiago Bernabeu anytime soon. Recent reports are suggesting that United are ready to bid for the German international at the end of the season, however, Balague told Sky Sports that such a transfer will not take place. “I do not believe that is going to happen, I think that Kroos will stay, he is happy at the club and there is no more talk of that," said Balague.

Manchester United want to sign Real Madrid midfielder

Manchester United are ready to bid for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos. According to The Sun, the Premier League side had the 2014 World Cup winner in their grasp in 2013/14 but Kroos opted for a move to Real Madrid instead. Nevertheless, the Red Devils head coach Jose Mourinho is ready to try and sign the 27-year-old Germany international again as the 54-year-old specialist looks to build his team again for next season. The move for ex-Bayern Munich midfielder comes as doubts continue to surface over Antoine Griezmann's £100million move to Old Trafford. The Atletico Madrid playmaker has been scouted by United scouts, however, the 25-year-old striker is waiting to see if they make it into the Champions League next season.

Man Utd back to Kroos option

Manchester United are keen to sign Toni Kroos from Real Madrid this summer, according to The Independent. Former United boss David Moyes came close to bringing Kroos to Old Trafford before the Germany international opted for Real Madrid. The Premier League side will reportedly try again - as well as going for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann - but Real consider Kroos close to “unsellable". However, it will not be an easy job for the Red Devils to tempt the Real Madrid N8 as the German is one of the cornerstone players in Zinedine Zidane's team and has constant playing time there.

Premier League Top 4: The Contenders

With 13 games left to play, Chelsea’s lead is far from unassailable, and the title race is still very much open. According to Conte, as many as ‘six teams’ can ‘fight to win the title’.  As the season draws ever closer to a thrilling finale, however, attentions will turn toward to the all-important and lucrative Champions League places; the top 4. Chelsea’s place in the top 4 is all but assured, so let’s take a look at the other contenders: Manchester City Guardiola’s City team look to be rallying at the right time. They’ve hit a fine patch of form in recent weeks, winning their last 3 premier league matches, and look like a sensible bet to secure a top 4 position. City face a tough run of games at the end of March and start of April, however. They will face Liverpool at home on March 19th, followed by away trips to Arsenal and Chelsea in the space of 4 days. With all 3 sides in the mix for a top 4 place, these games could prove key. Tottenham Hotspur Having conceded only 18 goals this season, Tottenham have the joint best defence in the league. The recently injured Jan Vertonghen has been a key element in Tottenham’s defensive prowess, and will be a huge miss for Pochettino’s side. Spurs have stumbled slightly since his injury, having previously recorded 7 straight victories before he was carted off against West Brom in January. Spurs have a habit of falling at the final hurdle but, with the experience of last season’s title race, young players like Dele Alli are sure to cope better mentally this season. I’ve no doubt that Spurs will still be in the title race going into the season’s final games, and certainly won’t let a Champions League place slip away. Spurs only have 2 games to play against the rest of the top 6, both at White Hart Lane, and this could prove decisive. Arsenal Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger faces increasing pressure following some poor results in last few weeks. Recent Premier League losses against Watford and Chelsea may have damaged their title hopes irreparably, and this week’s Champions League battering against Bayern has further compounded Arsenal’s woes. Much has been said about a lack of on the pitch leadership at Arsenal, and with fresh speculation over Wenger’s future at the club, it looks like the side could falter in the closing stages of the season. Arsenal will face a tough run-in in the coming months. Upcoming visits to Anfield and White Hart Lane will provide tough obstacles, as will hosting Man Utd and Man City at home. With the side showing a startling lack of resilience, it’s hard to imagine them sustaining a significant title challenge. A top 4 finish may be the best they can hope for, but they’ll have to fight for it. Liverpool Prior to Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Tottenham on Saturday, they were yet to record a win in the Premier League in 2017. Despite a run of a prior run of 5 games without a win, including losses against Swansea and Hull, Liverpool are still very much in contention for a Champions League spot. Manager Jurgen Klopp was in an optimistic mood following victory against Spurs, and believes Liverpool have turned a corner following a dreadful start to 2017. He claimed Liverpool were ‘back in this race’, and he could be right. Liverpool are joint highest scorers in the league this season and, despite struggling to break defence-minded sides down in recent weeks, have plenty of firepower. They’ll be looking to striker and top scorer, Sadio Mane, to provide the vital spark to keep them in the race for the title and top 4 places. Liverpool only face 2 games against the other contenders, against Arsenal and Man City, but must also play an ever-tricky Merseyside derby in the coming weeks.  Man Utd Currently sitting at 6th place in the table, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea, it looks like Man Utd’s title hopes are already over. With Mourinho’s side only 2 points behind Spurs and Arsenal, 3rd and 4th respectively, they are still very much in with a shout of a top 4 finish. United have relied heavily on goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season, and this could prove their downfall. The eccentric striker has contributed directly to over 50% of United’s goals this season and will need him to be on top form if they are to finish in the top 4. Man Utd will face back-to-back away trips to Arsenal and Tottenham in the final 3 games of the season, and this could prove fatal to their top 4 chances.

Mourinho: I won’t throw FA cup away

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho shared his opinion about FA cup and their enthusiasm for winning the title. The Portuguese specialist admitted of purposefully giving up on this title with Chelsea before, but now he claims that FA Cup is one of the main priorities for Manchester United. "So I don't throw it away. If I lose, I lose because the opponent was better or because we didn't play well but I am not going to throw it away," the manager told his press conference. "I'm going with a good team and I respect the competition a lot. Man United demands that you go serious to every game," he finalized. Manchester United will face Blackburn within the boundaries of FA Cup round of 16 on Sunday, 19 February.

Rooney might leave Manchester United for China

Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney might leave his current team for a Chinese Super League club by the end of February, the Telegraph informs. According to the source, several Chinese clubs chase for the English striker. A February move is possible as the transfer window in China is not closed yet. In case of successful singing of such a deal, the transfer cost for the Manchester United attacker will be around £32 millions. Pogba enjoys playing against his brother

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba shared his emotions, after facing his brother's Florentin Pogba's team Saint-Etienne (3-0) in Europa League round of 16 first-leg. Zlatan Ibrahimovic formed a hat-trick to secure a home win and make the probability of making it to the round of 16 higher. however, it was not the only event worth mentioning in the game. Paul Pogba and his elder brother Florentin Pogba faced each other, and the younger one accepts the experience to be exciting. "It is something very magical, it does not happen every day and I really enjoyed playing against my brother," said the Paul during his post-match interview. Important to note, that their third brother Mathias Pogba was present at the game and was wearing a half MU half Saint-Etienne shirt. He himself plays for Sparta Rottendam in the Eredivisie.

Mourinho warns against Man Utd complacency

Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho has warned his side that their job is not yet complete following a 3-0 victory over Saint-Etienne in the first leg of their Europa League. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a hat-trick to put United in complete control of the tie at the halfway stage, with a comfortable cushion to take into next week's second leg. "It's is a good result. If you asked me before every European tie - 3-0 at home, score three goals, don't concede I would say give me that every time. But we know the atmosphere there will make it still hard," he told reporters. "We need to focus because three days after we go there we have the EFL Cup final, and I always feel that the players are more focused on the final than in the game. But it is important for us to go to the last 16, important for us to get a result there. Football is football, and my experience has put me through some impossible scenarios. I know 3-0 is a good result, but I cannot make it easy for them. Ibrahimovic is important. I don't want to say the most important. He is important, he shows that when he doesn't score goals, but obviously to score a hat-trick is always nice, even for a guy like him who has so many hat-tricks."

Ousmane Dembele reveals offers from Man Utd and Barcelona

Borussia Dortmund striker Ousmane Dembele has revealed offers from Manchester United and Barcelona. The 19-year-old signed for Borussia last summer from Rennes. "If it was the love of the game that made me prefer Borussia rather than Barça, Bayern or Manchester United? Yes, that was it and then, of course, the talk of the leaders I liked," he told Goal. "They told me that if I was good, I would play no matter what. I am very happy to be here and I do not regret my choice at all." Dembele has made 30 appearances during this season, scoring 5 goals.
