Napoli dream of signing Ibrahimovic
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be his "dream signing". The 35-year-old signed a one-year deal with United last summer, with an option for a further 12 months. He said recently that "nothing is done" with regards to his future, even though he has fulfilled the option needed to extend. If the Swede doesn't sign, then Napoli president De Laurentiis has suggested he would be keen on his signature. "My dream signing? I always try to go forward with what I have," he said in an interview with journalist and former mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni. "One that I would like, though, is that giant who is at Manchester United now. I had him as a dinner guest in Los Angeles and he's incredibly nice, even though he always seems angry. "You know the one I'm talking about, right?"
Mourinho will discuss Ibrahimovic future at Manchester United this week
Jose Mourinho will sit down with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to discuss his Manchester United future this week, according to The Sun. The 35-year-old is currently on a rolling contract at Old Trafford but his seamless adaptation to Premier League football, which has seen his hit 15 goals this term, has made an extension a real possibility. Ibrahimovic is understood to have attracted interest from China and the MLS, but The Sun claim Mourinho is confident the Swede will remain at United into a second season.
Man Utd Muller bid rejected
Manchester United failed with an £84m bid for Thomas Muller last summer, according to Bayern Munich's financial partner Jan-Christian Dreesen. "There really was such a thing,” he told Sport Bild. “Then came a fax from England. For us, however, a sale of Thomas Müller was never discussed. “If a player fits us, we would be stupid to give him a short-term prospect of a record profit and to weaken him.” It would appear United dodged a bullet with Muller though, with the Germany international struggling for form this season. The 27-year-old has just a single Bundesliga goal to his name for Bayern - he had 15 at the same stage last term.

The France international has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, with Griezmann understood to be United’s top priority in the summer. However, the 25-year-old has revealed he has reservations about switching the Vicente Calderon for the Premier League. “I have a lot of doubts about moving to England,” he told RMC. “I have a lot of doubts about my private life. “Everything like rain, bad weather… I need to feel happy outside."
Kessie happy with interest from big clubs
Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie admits he is “flattered” by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United’s reported interest, but insists he is happy to stay at the Serie A club. "I read things in the press. I am very flattered that clubs of this level are interested in me," the 20-year-old told So Foot. "This proves that I'm having a good season, that I continue to progress. I don't want to go too fast. "I don't know if my club has received any offers. I'm under contract. We'll see if we need to discuss anything. "I like Bergamo. The city is nice, quiet, and I appreciate life in Italy, where I was well received."
Fabinho has been in talks with several clubs
Monaco defender Fabinho has been in talks with Arsenal, Barcelona and both Manchester clubs, according to his father. It has been revealed the 23-year-old Brazilian admires the job Jose Mourinho is carrying out at Old Trafford but would favour a move to Man Utd’s rivals Man City. "We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and approached by Barcelona," his father, Joao, told J+1. "We like Manchester United and Mourinho’s work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City." Note that Fabinho has made 35 appearances during this season.
Rashford unsure about new Man Utd contract
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is stalling on signing a new contract with Manchester United in coming months, according to The Times. The 19-year-old is understood to have grown frustrated with the lack of game-time on offer under Jose Mourinho and is considering his options. However, with United’s season entering a congested period, there could be more first-team opportunities on offer to the England international.

Perez is stunned by Manchester United plans to hand Gea a new contract
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is stunned by Manchester United plans to hand David de Gea a new contract. The 26-year-old keeper remains Perez's priority target for the summer market and there had been a growing belief a deal would be done. Nevertheless, news that Red Devils plan to upgrade the Spain international's deal to the tune of €350,000-a-week has shocked Real. Such a deal would make De Gea close to Cristiano Ronaldo on Real's wage bill and rock morale inside the locker room.
