Manchester United eye Borussia winger
Manchester United are chasing Borussia Dortmund sensation Ousmane Dembele for the summer market. According to The Sun, the Red Devils could have to pay up to £50million for the France attacking midfielder after his eye-catching breakthrough this season. Only a huge bid would persuade Dortmund even to think of letting another talented young player move on to a so-called bigger club, especially after only one season. The 19-year-old Dembele turned down United, Chelsea, Arsenal and a host of other European clubs to join the German side from Rennes last year. Dembele's belief that he had a better chance of playing at Dortmund, a club renowned for giving youngsters a chance, has been rewarded.

And Madrid sources claim the Red Devils manager is growing confident of pulling off the transfer coup. Torres urges teammate Griezmann to stay
Fernando Torres is urging Atletico Madrid teammate Antoine Griezmann to resist a move to Manchester United. The Red Devils are favourites to land the Frenchman this summer. "You can go to many other places in the world and they cannot offer what Atletico can offer you right now," Torres told Football Focus. "Competing in the league, competing in the Champions League, one of the most respected teams in Europe. There is no reason to leave. Where are you going to go to improve what you have in Atletico? Not many places in the world. I hope he can stay with us forever. We were in the Champions League final, he played in the Euro final with France, so I think he realises how difficult it is to become champion, but he is right there.

Jose Mourinho criticises Man Utd strikers for failing to kill off Anderlecht
Jose Mourinho has hit out at the Manchester United front line for failing to kill off Anderlecht in Thursday's Europa League quarter-final first leg, which finished 1-1. The Premier League side took the lead in the 37th minute through Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but were pegged back with just four minutes to go when Leander Dendoncker scored from the hosts' only shot on target. The Red Devils head coach Jose Mourinho praised the Man United defence for their work on the night, but criticised Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Martial for failing to make the most of their chances. "There was lots of space to kill, good chances. Lots of chances that we don't get because of a bad touch, sloppy touch, a flick, bad decisions in the last third," the 54-year-old specialist told BT Sport. "Put the performance of two or three of our attacking players together and you squeeze not much juice out of it. Rashford, Lingard, Ibrahimovic, Martial. They were very similar. But the people behind very solid very focused. The defenders did the serious work but the people who had to kill the game didn't. We start the game at Old Trafford in front, but we had all the conditions to kill the game."
