Jose Mourinho has given his reasons for bringing Bastian Schweinsteiger out of the wilderness at Manchester United.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash at Fenerbahce, the United boss said: “Looking at the way Bastian was working professionally with the fitness coach, we think it’s a human and professional decision to bring him back to the team.
“He will be much better prepared, he will be in much better condition and if his future decision is to leave the club he will be much better prepared to go to direct competition.
“If he stays with us he becomes one more option. At this moment we have no problems in midfield but whenever you have problems he will be another option.
“It’s a human decision based on training numbers and methods but it is also a decision that can turn out be positive for the group. It’s a good decision for us and good decision for him.”
