Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to feature for the Mancunians in the clash against Feyenoord.
Mkhitaryan, who has joined the Red Devils in summer from Borussia Dortmund, made only 6 appearances for the team, with several injuries and bad fitness preventing him from showing his best qualities.
“I told him ‘this was not the game for you’ because I don’t think he needs 10 or 20 minutes from the bench. I said ‘I think you need a good game and you need to either start or, if not, to come for the second half’. He needs less pressure and better conditions for him to express his qualities,” Mourinho said.
The Reds are currently third in Europe League Group A with six points from 12, and they need a victory at Old Trafford to keep chances of qualification.
