Manchester United might wait another year before signing Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, according to
the Mirror. The German club are under no financial pressure to sell their wonderkid and will refuse to lower their asking price.
United have been working on a deal for months, however, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has already warned publicly that huge transfers would be ignoring the “realities that face the sport.”
Dortmund want over £100m for Sancho and have made no secret that they will be ready to sell him in the future. But they are also very happy for him to stay.
United are determined to sign him, but the coronavirus situation may mean the deal is delayed. It will be a big difficulty for Premier League clubs as few are expecting to do big deals this summer.
