Oleksandr Zinchenko's presence in the squad to face Everton was in doubt following Russia-Ukraine issues.
The 25-year-old even attended an anti-war vigil in Manchester as he said he ‘can’t stay back’ while his country is under attack.
However, speaking in his
pre-match press conference, Pep Guardiola confirmed Zinchenko is 'ready to play' tonight (February 26th).
“We spoke all of us, I spoke with him. Everyone, the friends, the staff." said the Manchester City boss.
"We are living this world. These are the headlines unfortunately all around the world, it’s concern.
"Aleks is an incredibly strong guy, a really brilliant guy. Of course it’s not easy but today and yesterday in training he was brilliant.
"He’s ready to play incase he has to play.”
The Cityzens are set to face the Toffees in an away match in the Premier League, on Saturday.
