Barcelona and Aleix Vidal both agree that the player should seek a way out of the club in January, reports Sport.
The 27-year-old has managed only seven league starts for Barca since making an €18m move from Sevilla in the summer of 2015.
Due to his lack of first-team action, both the player and the club feel he should seek pastures new when the transfer window re-opens at the start of next year.
Barca are looking for a transfer fee of around €13m, although they are also willing to loan him out for the second half of the season.
Various Italian clubs have shown an interest in the Spaniard.
