Man Utd plan double raid on Atletico
Manchester United are reportedly planning for a double raid on Atletico Madrid this summer, according to the Daily Star. Antoine Griezmann has long been linked with the Red Devils, but reports suggest he isn't the only target. Goalkeeper Jan Oblak has also been targeted in a £40m deal, in case David De Gea leaves Old Trafford for Real Madrid.
Terry to leave Chelsea
So after 22 years John Terry will leave Chelsea at the end of the season. “After 22 years there is so much to say and so many people to thank at this great football club. From coaches, team-mates and staff to the fans who have given me so much support down the years, I can’t thank you enough. There will be opportunities for me to speak further about this over the coming weeks. “I will decide on my future in due course, but for now I am committed to helping the team achieve success this season.”
Tottenham will offer Dele Alli a new long-term contract
Tottenham will offer Dele Alli a new long-term contract worth around £40m in a bid to keep the midfielder at White Hart Lane and away from Real Madrid, according to the Daily Mirror. The contract - a third in 16 months - would see the 21-year-old's wages double, putting him on par with the club's top earners. Alli, who has netted 16 times from 31 league appearance so far this campaign, is attracting interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, with Los Blancos reportedly prepared to break their £85.5m club transfer record to land the England international. But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants the club, who currently sit just four points behind leaders Chelsea, to have a team to compete with the best in the world and Levy will move to keep the current squad together.
Fabregas happy at Chelsea
Cesc Fabregas is happy at league-leaders Chelsea and remains focused on the title race despite reports in Italy that he has verbally agreed to join AC Milan this summer. Milan's new Chinese owners are said to have made the 29-year-old their prime transfer target, but the midfielder is thinking only about helping Chelsea to win the title and the FA Cup. Fabregas, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Barca for £27m in June 2014, has two years left on his Chelsea contract and came on as a second-half substitute in his side's 2-0 defeat at Manchester United yesterday. The Spanish international has spent much of the season on the bench, but he has made 29 appearances in all competitions since Antonio Conte took charge of the Blues last summer.
